Languages Tab of Options Form

You can switch languages by double clicking on any item in the list, or selecting the language and pressing the "Apply" button.

When the program is first installed it comes with a small selection of alternative languages besides English. These are the languages that are more or less up to date, i.e. the translation is about 70% or more complete. The words and phrases that are missing from any given translation appear in the program in English.

If you upgrade the program using the one-click upgrade link on the website (you can find it at www.orphalese.net/downloads.aspx) then you will see a much larger selection of languages in the language selection box illustrated. This is because the upgrade link contains all the language versions of the program that have ever been worked on, even though some of them are very far from complete.

We are always looking for people to help translate the program into new languages, and to keep the existing translations up to date. If you want to know more about the current state of any particular translation you can use the following link: www.orphalese.net/translations_stateofplay.aspx. If you decide you would like to help with any existing translation you can find instructions by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: www.orphalese.net/translations_instructions.aspx. If the language you would like to translate to is not on the list please email translations@orphalese.net and we will set it up for you.

We are happy to give away licences for the program to anyone who offers significant help in this way.
